Tripura Mathematical Societywasestablishedon January 7,1979 (Vide Regd.No.662 of 1979). Presently there are about 500 life members who are mostly teachers of schools, colleges and different universities / institutions of India and abroad. There are several life members from other professions also besides student members / annualmembers.
